Instructions
Grate the apples and transfer the grated mass into a mash thieve. Gently press with a back of a spoon to drain most of the juice out. Reserve or drink the apple juice.
In a medium bowl, mix the grated apples and egg together. Add the corn starch, baking powder, and salt. Mix well to combine.
In a frying pan, melt 1 oz of butter over medium-high heat. Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of apple mixture into the hot butter, flatten slightly with a back of a spoon.
Fry 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Transfer to a serving plate. Continue with the rest of the mixture. Add more butter when needed.
I like serving these fritters very hot dusted with some powdered sugar and cinnamon.
